Fusion is also a method of using nucleus and neutrons for energy. Unfortunately, there has never been a controlled fusion reaction correctly demonstrated. This is due to several issuses; (i) the difficulty of forcing two nuclei within close proximety; (ii) reaching a high enough thermal energy; and (iii) fully ionizing gases into plasma which is extremely important in the fusion process.
